TV TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS
Common Issues
The following steps will pertain to every affected cable box:
- Remove the black power cord either from the cable box or from the power source. After about 10 seconds plug the power cord back in. Box may take up to 15 seconds before any lights begin to light up.
- On the back of the cable box should be a round coaxial cable. Unscrew this line from the back of the cable box. After it is completely unscrewed, please screw it back on until the screw connection is finger-tight.
- Follow this coaxial line to the outlet at the wall. Ensure the wire is screwed on finger-tight at the wall as well.
- After box is fully powered on check to see if the issue occurs again on the channel. If it does, please proceed to the next step.
- On the back of the cable box you will either have an HDMI cord that plugs in from the cable box to the TV or a coaxial line that screws in at both the cable box and the TV.
- If you have an HDMI cord unplug the cord from the cable box, then plug it back in. At the TV, please remove the HDMI cord then plug it back in.
- If you have a coaxial cable, please unscrew the cable from the cable box then screw it back on. Please complete the same step at the TV.
- With the TV and cable box powered on, press “Menu” on the remote control.
- Using the directional arrows navigate down to “HDMI Setup”. Press “OK” to select.
- Scroll down to “Aspect Ratio” using the arrows on the remote change the aspect ratio to fit the screen.
- Verify the power cord is plugged into the box as well as a power source.
- If cable box is plugged into a power strip/extension cord/surge protector, ensure the power strip/extension cord/surge protector is also plugged into a power outlet at the wall.
- Unplug the black power cord from the back of the box. After 10 seconds plug the power cord back in. Box may take up to 15 seconds before any lights begin to light up.
- If box still does not have any lights, unplug the box from the power source and plug the power cord into a different power source.
- If still no lights, check to see if cable box is powered by a switched outlet. If so, ensure the outlet is turned on.
- Box may take up to 15 seconds to show any signs of power. If no lights begin to light up after 15 seconds please proceed to the next step.
- To verify power source is active, plug another device into the exact same power source and confirm service is working.
- If device does not work on this power source, then check the breaker to see if it was tripped. If breaker is not tripped, then an electrician would be needed. If the device does work at the power source, please call Technical Support at (410) 763-9400.
- On the back of the cable box there should be a round coaxial cable. This wire should screw into the back of the cable box. Unscrew this wire from the box then screw it back on.
- On the same wire follow it to the wall. Ensure the line is tightened all the way.
- Unplug the black power cord either from the box or the power source. After about 10 seconds plug it back in. Box may take up to 15 seconds before any lights begin to light up. The box may also take an additional 5 minutes to fully power on.
- If the message returns, please call Technical Support at (410) 763-9400.
- Unplug the black power cord either from the box or the power source. After about 10 seconds plug it back into the same power source.
- On the back of the cable box you will either have an HDMI cord that connects from the cable box to the TV or a coaxial line that screws in at both the cable box and the TV.
- If you have an HDMI cord, unplug the cord from the cable box, then plug it back in. At the TV please remove the HDMI cord then plug it back in.
- If you have a coaxial cable, please unscrew it from the cable box then screw it back on the back of the box. Please complete the same step at the TV.
- If screen is still a dark screen or reads “no signal”, press the "Input" or “source” button on the remote control to check each available input to see if a cable picture appears under a different input.
- If you get a black screen or a message that reads “no signal”, repeat step 3 until all inputs are checked.
- If cable box is not utilizing HDMI, please ensure the TV is set to the TV/Cable input and the TV is set to channel 3.
- If issue persists, please contact Technical Support at (410) 763-9400.
- Verify the power cord is plugged into the box as well as a power source.

- Box may take up to 15 seconds to show any signs of power. If no lights begin to light up after 15 seconds, please proceed to the next step.
- To verify power source is active, plug another device into the exact same power source and confirm service is working.
- If device does not work on this power source, then an electrician is needed. If the device does work at the power source, please call Technical Support at (410) 763-9400.

- If you get a black screen or a message that reads “no signal”, repeat step 3 until all inputs are checked.
- If cable box is not using HDMI, please ensure the TV is set to the TV/Cable input and the TV is set to channel 3.

Equipment Issues
- With cable remote press the “LIST” or “My DVR” button.
- Press the “MENU” button on the remote.
- Navigate down until “DVR” is highlighted. Press “OK/SEL” to select DVR.
First Way
- Press the yellow “A”/DVR button.
Second Way
- Press the “Menu” button on the remote twice.
- Using the left or right directional arrows, scroll until “DVR” is highlighted. Press “OK” to select.
- First, locate the remote for the TV set or on the TV set there may be a group of buttons, one of which would be the “Input” button.
- On either the remote or the TV buttons please locate a button that reads “source”, “video source”, or “input”.
- Press this button to change the input. Repeat this process until the proper input is selected. Alternatively, with some remotes it is required to scroll through the input list by using the up/down arrows and pressing the “ok” or “enter” button on the remote to select an input
Explorer & DVR- Press the “Settings” button.
- Using the down directional buttons scroll down until “Picture Size” is highlighted.
- With “Picture Size” highlighted, press the right arrow on the remote to scroll through different picture size options.Options to choose are: Normal, Zoom 1, and Zoom 2.
Whole Home System (WHS)- Press “Menu” twice on the remote control.
- Scroll to the right until “Menu” is highlighted. Press “OK” to select.
- Using the up and down directional arrows scroll down until “Aspect Ratio” is highlighted. Press “OK” to select.

Auto-Search
- Turn on the TV you wish to control either through the TV remote or the buttons on the TV set.
- Please stand at least 5 feet away from the TV while completing the following steps.
- Press and hold the “Setup” until the power LED light blinks twice.
- Press and hold the “Ok” button (center button between the directional arrows. Release the “Ok” button when the TV turns off.
- Press “Power” to turn the TV back on.
- Once the TV is turned on the volume buttons should control the TV volume.
- If this method doesn’t work please try the Direct Code Entry and/or the Quick Set-Up methods. If none of these methods work please contact Tech Support at (410) 763-9400.
Quick Set Up
- Turn on the TV you wish to control either through the TV remote or the buttons on the TV set.
- Click here for the remote guide to locate the appropriate code.
- Please stand at least 5 feet away from the TV while completing the following steps.
- Press and hold “SETUP” until the POWER LED blinks twice.
- Press the “TV” Power button key. The POWER LED light should remain on.
- Per the determined code in step B press and hold down the correct digit for your TV brand.
- Let go of the key when the TV turns off. Set up is complete.
- Please note: if the POWER LED blinks twice that means pairing was a success. If the POWER LED has one long blink it means pairing failed.
- If pairing was unsuccessful please try the Auto-Search and Direct-Code entry methods. If none of these methods work please call Tech Support at (410) 763-9400.
Direct-Code Entry
- Turn on the TV you wish to control either through the TV remote or the buttons on the TV set.
- Click here for the remote guide to locate the appropriate code.
- Please stand at least 5 feet away from the TV while completing the following steps.
- Press and hold “SETUP” until the POWER LED blinks twice.
- Enter the first TV code located in step B. If the TV turns off, set up is complete.
- If the TV doesn’t turn off please repeat step E with the other available codes until the TV does turn off.
- If this method doesn’t work please attempt the Automatic Code Search and/or the Quick Set Up methods. If none of these methods work please contact Tech Support at (410) 763-9400.

Automatic Code Search
- Turn on the TV you wish to control either through the TV remote or the buttons on the TV set.
- Please stand at least 5 feet away from the TV while completing the following steps.
- Press the “TV” button and “OK” together for three seconds. The “POWER” LED light will turn on for 20 seconds indicating the remote is ready to be programmed.
- Point the remote toward the TV and press either “CH” Up or “CH” Down one step at a time, or keep it pressed. If holding down the button, release the button as soon as the TV turns off.
- Press “TV” to save the code.
- To test the code turn the TV back on by pressing the “POWER” button on the remote. Test the volume control with the remote. If none of the functions work please retry steps C-F until the power and volume functions work properly. If remote still doesn’t work please try the Direct Code Entry method and the Quick Set-Up method. If neither works please call Tech Support at 410-763-9400 for further assistance.
Direct Code Entry
- Turn on the TV you wish to control either through the TV remote or the buttons on the TV set.
- Click here for the remote guide to locate the appropriate code.
- Please stand at least 5 feet away from the TV while completing the following steps.
- Press the “TV” button and “OK” button on the remote together for 3 seconds. The “POWER” LED light will turn on for 20 seconds indicating the remote is ready to be programmed.
- Point the remote toward the cable box and enter the corresponding 3-digit code that corresponds to your TV brand. If the three-digit code is correct the cable box will turn off, if it doesn’t turn off then continue to enter code numbers listed for your cable box brand until the cable box turns off.
- To test the code turn the TV back on by pressing the “POWER” button on the remote. Test the volume control with the remote. If none of the functions work please retry steps C-F until the power and volume functions work properly. If remote still doesn’t work please try the Automatic Code Search method and the Quick Set-Up method. If neither works please call Tech Support at 410-763-9400 for further assistance.
Quick Set-Up
- Turn on the TV you wish to control either through the TV remote or the buttons on the TV set.
- Click here for the remote guide to locate the appropriate code.
- Please stand at least 5 feet away from the cable box while completing the following steps.
- Press and hold “DTA” for 5 seconds until the POWER LED light blinks once and stays on. Continue to hold “DTA” and press the number assigned to your cable box brand and release both buttons at the same time. The POWER LED will blink twice to confirm that the code is stored.
- Point the remote at the cable box.
- Press the POWER button. If the TV turns off, the remote is programmed for the TV. If it doesn’t turn off please attempt the Direct Code Search method or the Automatic Code Search method. If none of the methods work please call Tech Support @ (410) 763-9400.

Automatic Code Search
- Turn on the TV you wish to control either through the TV remote or the buttons on the TV set.
- Please stand at least 5 feet away from the TV while completing the following steps.
- Point the remote at the TV.
- Press and hold the “PROG” button for five seconds, until the red power button lights up.
- Release the “PROG” button and make sure the red power button light stays on.
- Press and release the “CH” UP (channel up) button to begin the auto search mode. The remote will send a new TV power code every 1.5 seconds and the red power button will blink at that same time. Finding the correct code may take up to 15 minutes.
- When the TV turns off, immediately press the TV button. This will store the code and exit search mode.
- If you are now able to turn the TV on with the remote and control the volume with the volume buttons then you have successfully programed the remote. If unable to control the TV please retry the Automatic Code Search method. If this method doesn’t work them please try the Direct Code entry or the Quick Set-Up entry. If none of these steps work please contact Technical Support at (410) 763-9400.
Direct Code Search
- Turn on the TV you wish to control either through the TV remote or the buttons on the TV set.
- Click here for the remote guide to locate the appropriate code.
- Please stand at least 5 feet away from the TV while completing the following steps.
- Point the remote at the TV. While point the remote, press and hold the “PROG” button for five seconds, until the red power button lights up.
- Release the “PROG” button and make sure the red power button light stays on.
- Press and release the TV button. The red power button will blink once and then remain on.
- Find the three-digit TV code for your TV brand. Press the three number buttons in order on the remote.
- If the device code is valid, the red power button will blink twice and turn off. The device code will also save. If the code is invalid, the red power button will blink twice but will stay on. Input another three-digit code until all codes are tested. If no codes work press the TV button to cancel the set up mode. Please try both the Automatic Code entry and the Quick Set up entry methods. If none of the methods work please contact Technical Support at (410) 763-9400.
Quick Set-Up
- Turn on the TV you wish to control either through the TV remote or the buttons on the TV set.
- Click here for the remote guide to locate the appropriate code.
- Please stand at least 5 feet away from the TV while completing the following steps.
- From the list of codes in step D please locate the appropriate “Button Press” and “Button Number” that correlates with your TV brand.
- Press and hold simultaneously for three seconds both the “TV” and “Menu” or “TV” and “Guide” buttons as specified by the “Button Press” value your TV brand is assigned to. The red power button light will turn on for 20 seconds confirming that you are in the programming mode.
- While the red power button light is on, point the remote at the TV and press the “Button Number” assigned to your TV brand (example: for a Sharp TV press “5”). The TV should turn off. If it doesn’t turn off then press the same number repeatedly until the TV does turn off.
- Once the TV turns off, press the TV key once to save the code. If this method doesn’t work or if your TV brand isn’t listed in the attached table then please attempt the Automatic Code Search or the Direct Code Search methods. If none of the methods work please contact Technical Support at (410) 763-9400.
- Turn on the TV you wish to control either through the TV remote or the buttons on the TV set.

- Please stand at least 5 feet away from the TV while completing the following steps.
- Point the remote at the TV and press and hold the “TV” key for three seconds until the TV LED blinks off then turns back on. Continue holding the “TV” key and press the number keys, one at a time. Starting with 1, then 2, then 3 until each number is pressed ending with 0 or until the TV turns off.
- Once the TV turns off release the “TV” button to save the code. The “TV” light will blink twice to confirm the code is stored.
- If this method doesn’t work please attempt the Manual Programming method and the Auto-Search method. If none work please call Tech Support at (410) 763-9400.
- Turn on the TV you wish to control either through the TV remote or the buttons on the TV set.

- Please stand at least 5 feet away from the TV while completing the following steps.
- Press the “TV” and “OK/SEL” button together for three seconds. The LED power light will illuminate for 30 seconds. While that light is illuminated and the remote pointed at the TV enter the three-digit code assigned for your TV. Try every available code for your TV brand until the TV turns off.
- To verify the code press the “POWER” button if the TV turns on then the correct code has been located. If the TV doesn’t turn on then repeat steps A-D until you are able to turn on the TV. If none of the codes work please attempt the Quick-Set Up method and the Automatic Code Search method. If none of these methods work please call Tech Support at (410) 763-9400.

- Once the correct code is located save it by pressing “TV” again. The “TV” light on the remote will blink twice to confirm that the code was successfully stored.
- If no codes work then please attempt the Automatic Code Search method. If none of the methods work please contact Tech Support at (410) 763-9400.

- Please stand at least 5 feet away from the TV while completing the following steps.
- Point the remote at the TV and press and hold the “TV” key for three seconds. While holding the “TV” key, the “TV” button LED will flash on and off. Begin to press the number keys one at a time with 1, then 2, then 3…0 until the TV turns off.
- Release the TV key to save the code. The “TV” LED will blink twice then turn off to confirm the code it stored.
- If this method doesn’t work after going through every code twice then please try the Automatic Code Search and the Direct Code Entry methods. If none of the methods work please contact Tech Support at (410) 763-9400.

Automatic Code Search
- Turn on the TV you wish to control either through the TV remote or the buttons on the TV set.
- Please stand at least 5 feet away from the TV while completing the following steps.
- Press and hold the “Menu” and “OK” button until the power button flashes twice. Then release both of the buttons.
- Enter the code 9-9-1.
- Press “1” to search for a TV code. The power button will flash twice after “1” is typed in.
- While pointing the remote control at the TV press and release the cursor up button until the TV turns off. (Note: You may need to press and release the cursor up numerous times before the TV will shut off.)
- In search mode the remote will send codes from its library to the device.
- When the TV turns off, press “OK” to lock the code for the device. The power button will flash twice.
- The remote is now programmed to the TV set. All of the buttons should now properly control the TV and the cable box.
- If this method doesn’t work please attempt the Direct-Code Entry method. If neither method works please contact Technical Support at (410) 763-9400.
Direct Code Entry
- Turn on the TV you wish to control either through the TV remote or the buttons on the TV set.

- Please stand at least 5 feet away from the TV while completing the following steps.
- Press and hold the “Menu” and “Ok” buttons until the power button flashes twice. Once the power button flashes twice release both buttons.
- Enter in the first 5-digit code for your TV brand.
- Aim the cable remote at the TV and press the power button. If the TV turns off you have found the correct code.
- If the TV does not turn off please repeat steps d-f utilizing the different available codes. If no codes work please attempt the Automatic Code Search method. If neither method works please contact Technical Support at (410) 763-9400.

- Please stand at least 5 feet from the TV and cable box while completing the following steps.
- Point the remote at the cable box. Press and hold “SETUP” until the POWER LED light blinks twice. Once the light blinks twice press “MENU”.
- POWER LED light will blink until the remote is paired with the cable box.
- Follow the pairing instructions on the screen to complete pairing.
- If no instructions appear on the screen, please power cycle the cable box by removing the power cord from the cable box and plugging the power cord back in. Reattempt the pairing process once the box fully powers back on.
- If the remote doesn’t pair to the cable box please repeat the process an additional three times. If unsuccessful after the third try please contact Tech Support at (410) 763-9400.

- To test the code turn the cable box back on by pressing the “POWER” button on the remote. Try changing the channel with the remote. If the channel changes then the remote is programmed. If none of the functions work please retry steps D-F until the power and volume functions work properly. If remote still doesn’t work please try the Automatic Code Search method and the Quick Set-Up method. If neither works please call Tech Support at 410-763-9400 for further assistance.

- Press and hold “DTA” for 5 seconds until the POWER LED light blinks once and stays on. Continue to hold “DTA” and press the number assigned to your cable box brand and release both buttons at the same time. The POWER LED will blink twice to confirm that the code is stored.
- Point the remote at the cable box.
- To test the code turn the cable box back on by pressing the “POWER” button on the remote. Try changing the channel with the remote. If the channel changes then the remote is programmed. - To verify the correct code has been entered press the “CBL” button to turn the box on/off. With the cable box on try changing the channel with the channel control buttons.

Automatic Code Search
- Turn on the TV and device to be programmed with the cable remote.
- Please stand at least 5 feet away from the device while completing the following steps.
- Press and hold the “Menu” and “OK” button until the power button flashes twice. Then release both of the buttons.
- Enter the code 9-9-1.
- Press “1” to search for a TV code. The power button will flash twice after “1” is typed in.
- While pointing the remote control at the TV press and release the cursor up button until the TV turns off. (Note: you may need to press and release the cursor up numerous times before the TV will shut off)
- In search mode the remote will send codes from it’s library to the device.
- When the TV turns off, press “OK” to lock the code for the device. The power button will flash twice.
- The remote is now programmed to the TV set. All of the buttons should now properly control the TV and the cable box.
- If this method doesn’t work please attempt the Direct-Code Entry method. If neither methods work please contact Technical Support at (410) 763-9400.
Direct Code Entry
- Turn on the TV and device to be programmed with the cable remote.

- Please stand at least 5 feet away from the device while completing the following steps.
- Press and hold the “Menu” and “Ok” buttons until the power button flashes twice. Once the power button flashes twice release both buttons.
- Enter in the first 5-digit code for your TV brand.
- Aim the cable remote at the TV and press the power button. If the TV turns off, you have found the correct code.
- If the TV does not turn off please repeat steps d-f utilizing the different available codes. If no codes work please attempt the Automatic Code Search method. If neither methods work please contact Technical Support at (410) 763-9400.
Voice Guidance is an accessibility feature only available on the Whole Home System boxes. When enabled the feature will read out program information and identify any command given to the box. Follow the following steps to enable or disable the feature:
- With the TV and cable box powered on, press the “MENU” button twice on the remote.
- Using the left and right directional buttons navigate to “Settings”. Press the “OK” button to open.
- Using the up and down directional buttons navigate down to “Voice Guidance”. Press the “OK” button on the remote to open.
- Using the up and down arrows highlight “Off”. Press the “OK” button on the remote to select.
Cable Issues
- On the back of the cable box there should be a round coaxial cable. This wire should screw onto the box. Unscrew this wire from the box then screw it back on.
- Follow this same wire to where it connects at the wall. Ensure the line is tightened all the way.
- Unplug the black power cord either from the box or the power source. After about 10 seconds plug it back in. Box may take up to 15 seconds before any lights light up.
- If the message returns, please call Technical Support at (410) 763-9400.
- On the back of the cable box there should be a round coaxial cable. This wire should screw onto the box. Unscrew this wire from the box then screw it back on.
- Once the line is unscrewed, screw it back in at either at the wall or the cable box and ensure the line is screwed in tightly. Please ensure the opposite end of the line is screwed in tightly as well.
- Once line is tightened at the wall and cable box check to see if the issue is resolved. If not please proceed to the next step.
- On the back of the cable box you will either have an HDMI cord that plugs in from the cable box to the TV or a coaxial line that screws in at both the cable box and the TV.
- If you have an HDMI cord, unplug the cord from the cable box, then plug it back in. At the TV please remove the HDMI cord then plug it back in.
- If you have a coaxial cable, please unscrew it from the cable box then screw it back on. Please complete the same step at the TV.
- Check to see if the issue is ongoing, then proceed to the next step.
- On the back of the cable box there should be a black power cord. At either the box or the power outlet unplug this power cord. After 15 seconds plug this power cord back in. After 30 seconds to 5 minutes the box should fully power on. Once power is restored to the cable box check to see if the issue is ongoing. If it is ongoing, please contact Tech Support at (410) 763-9400.
- On the back of the cable box should be a thick, round coaxial cord that screws into the cable box. This line should either be white or black in color. Please unscrew this line from the box. If line is too tight at the box it can also be unscrewed from the wall, if applicable.
- Once the line is unscrewed, screw it back in at either the wall or the cable box and ensure the line is screwed in tightly. Please ensure the opposite end of the line is screwed in tightly as well.
- Once line is tightened at the wall and cable box check to see if the issue is resolved. If not please proceed to the next step.
- On the back of the cable box you will either have an HDMI cord that plugs in from the cable box to the TV or a coaxial line that screws in at both the cable box and the TV.
- If you have an HDMI cord, unplug the cord from the cable box, then plug it back in. At the TV please remove the HDMI cord then plug it back in.
- If you have a coaxial cable, please unscrew it from the cable box then screw it back on. Please complete the same step at the TV.
- Check to see if the issue is ongoing. If it is please proceed to the next step.
- On the back of the cable box should be a black power cord. At either the box or the power outlet unplug this power cord. After 15 seconds plug this power cord back in. After 30 seconds to 5 minutes the box should fully power on. Once power is restored to the cable box check to see if the issue is ongoing. - The instructions will vary per app but to begin please have your Easton Utilities “My Account” login ready. A current cable subscription is required to access content through a provider login.
- Please note: It is only possible to access certain cable content in which a subscription is currently held for. For instance – in order to sign in to HBO Max with a TV provider login a subscription to HBO is required through Easton Utilities.
- On the device in which you are looking to stream content on please open the desired app.
- Once the app is opened please locate an option that states “Login”.
- Click on “Sign in through TV provider”.
- In the list of providers select “View All Providers”. Proceed with selecting “Easton Velocity.
- The app will redirect to an Easton Utilities login screen. On this screen please enter your My Account login. Once credentials are entered click on “Log In”.
- Once the account has been successfully logged in you are now able to view subscribed content.
- If a message of “incorrect login” appears after a login attempt, click on “Reset your password”.
- If you get a message that you are not subscribed to the particular content, please call Customer Service at 410-822-6110 to check current cable subscription.
V-tv
- Conversion Mode allows for the programming to fit on the screen more efficiently. Please note – based on type of content viewed (High Definition or Standard Definition), the picture may or may not fill the screen. Most of the content is displayed as high definition, however some content is only available as standard definition. If a show is in high definition, it will fill the screen. If it is in standard definition, there will be a black bar across the top and bottom of the screen.
- On the remote press “MENU”. Scroll down to “Settings”. Press “OK” on the remote. Scroll down to “Display”. Press “OK” on the remote.
- Scroll down to “Conversion Mode”. Using the right arrow on the remote scroll until “Zoom” is selected. Scroll down and highlight “Save”. Press the “OK” button to save the selection.
- On the remote press “Menu”, scroll down to “Settings”. Select “Apps” then select “Device Code”.
- The login and passphrase should generate a login that can be used to sync another device to your account. Note: up to 20 devices can be synced to an account.
Press “Menu” on the remote, scroll down to “Settings”. Select “Guide” then with the box next to “After Changing Channel” is highlighted used the right arrow until “Close Guide” is selected. Click “Save” in the bottom left-hand side of the screen to save the selection.

- Press and hold “TV” and “OK/SEL” for 3 seconds.
- Point the remote toward the television and hold the “CH UP” button. Release this button once the television turns off.
- Press the “POWER” button in the top right-hand side of the remote. Press the “TV” button on the remote.
- Confirm remote controls (such as volume and mute) work.
- By default, the remote should be programmed to the cable box. If it isn’t automatically programed then please follow the instructions below.
- Press and hold “CBL” and “OK/SEL” for 3 seconds.
- Enter code “002”.
- Press the “CBL” button.
- Press the “GUIDE” button on the remote.
- Locate the show to be recorded.
- Press the button that has a red circle near the play button near the top of the remote. Select preferred options on pop-up screen. Select desired settings for the recording. Click on “Create Recording” on the bottom left-hand side of the screen.
On smartphone with Google Home or Amazon Echo app open the respected app and download the Channel Surfer app or skill. Enter the registration code which can be obtained via settings on any cable box, Firestick, or Roku app. Follow on-screen prompts to complete registration.
- On the remote press “Guide” or “Menu” then “Guide”.
- Scroll with the up and down arrows to move between shows or press “Channel Up”/”Channel Down” to move 1 page of shows at a time.
- Once a show is located press “OK” for a preview of the show in the top right-hand corner of the screen. Press the play button to tune to the selected station.
- To view information for a highlighted show press the “INFO” button.
- Press the channel up or channel down button on the remote.
- If the channel still isn’t playing check to see if issue is happening on other channels. Regardless, unplug the thin black power cord from the back of the cable box. After 5-10 seconds plug the power cord back in. Let the box boot back up.
- If issue is ongoing, ensure the channel is a channel included in your current cable subscription. If channel is an included channel please call our Technical Support team at (410) 763-9400.
The current supported Amazon devices are Amazon Stick Gen 2, Fire TV Gen 3, Stick 4k, Fire Cube Gen 2, and later. Please note that compatibility is not guaranteed.
Access the channel guide through the Vtv app on Firestick. Press either the return key or the list button (button with three horizontal lines). Scroll right until the desired option is highlighted and select the desired option.
- From the Firestick main screen, go to “Search” or “Find”. Search for “Velocity” or “Vtv”. Click on the app with the Vtv icon (a yellow “V” with “tv” in blue letters). Click on “Get free to download”.
- Once the app is downloaded click on the app to launch the app. Once the app is open, it will request a login code. This can be generated from any device that is already synced with the service. Once the login code and password are entered click on “Save”.
- Once successfully connected the channel guide will appear.
- Once the device is synced with the service a device code can be generated to sync another device.
- Access settings by navigating to the channel guide and then either press the return key or the list key (the button with three horizontal lines). Scroll to the right and select “Settings”.
- Click on “Add Device”. A login and passphrase will generate. Press “OK” once done.
- First, press the return key repeatedly until back on the Firestick home screen. Reopen the app and try playing the show stream again.
- If issue is ongoing, try playing a different show and another app on the Firestick to see if the issue is happening with other content.
- If issue is only with the app unplug the power cord for the Firestick (located on the side of the Firestick) and plug the power cord back in after 5-10 seconds.
- If this does not fix the issue delete the app from the Firestick and then redownload the app as well as reauthenticate the app. Retest to see if the issue is resolved.

- While on the home screen for the Roku device, scroll down to “Streaming Channels”. Press the select button on the remote.
- Scroll down to “Search Channels”. Press the select button on the remote. Type in “VTV”. Navigate over to the search results and select “VTV”. Select “Add Channel”.
- Once app is downloaded, load the app. Generate a login code from AP Max. Enter this code once prompted on the login page.
With the app open, ensure the channel guide is displaying. Press the return button on the Roku remote. Scroll the right until “Account” is highlighted. Select “Add Device”. This will generate a login and passphrase.
- With the app launched and viewing the channel guide locate a desired channel. Press the center select button on the remote. This will pull up the show information screen. Select “Watch” to start playing the show.
- Once in show use the up and down buttons to change the channel simply press the up or down button.
After launching the Vtv app by default the channel guide should appear. Press the return key on the remote to pull up the menu for the box at the top of the screen. Scroll over to the right and select “Recordings”. Select “Current” to view current recordings.
- Press the home button on the Firestick remote. Then, launch the app again. Try to play the show. If this doesn’t work, then repeat this step another 2-3 times.
- If issue still isn’t resolved, remove the black power cord from the Roku device, then plug it back in and retest.
By default, Roku plays content at the lowest quality. Unfortunately, this is a Roku feature that we are unable to bypass. Issue should resolve by itself within 60 seconds (often quicker). Due to this we suggest streaming content through one of our other streaming options (Fire TV, MyTVs app, online portal, or 5041 STB/Streaming Box).
- Open app store and search for “MyTVs”. Download the app.
- Once app is downloaded and opened, enter a device login and passphrase which can be obtained on any device that is already synced to the service. Sign in to the account.
With the app launched, select on a desired show and press the icon that looks like an eye to watch the show on your mobile device or press “Watch” to watch on a synced 5041 STB/cable box.
- With the app launched, select a show from the channel guide. Click on the button that says “Record”. Complete the recording options menu then click on “Create Recording”.
- Click on the menu button in the top left-hand side of the screen (three horizontal lines), then click on “Search”. Type in a show by keyword or title. Select the show title then select a desired episode. Click on “Record”. Complete the recording options menu then click on “Create Recording”.
Open the app and click on the menu button on the top left-hand side of the screen (three horizontal lines). Click on “Recordings”. Click on a desired show. To watch through the app, click on the icon of an eye. To watch on a synced 5041 STB/cable box click on “Watch”.
- Open the app, then in the top right-hand corner click on the button that shows a circle with 4 directional arrows.
- Similarly, to access the remote press the menu button (three horizontal lines) in the top left-hand side of the screen. Then, click on “Remote” with the icon of a circle with 4 directional arrows.
In a web browser go to vtv.goeaston.net/iptv. Sign in with the provided username and password. For assistance setting up a username and password please call our Technical Support team at (410) 763-9400.
- Once signed into the portal, click on the three horizontal bars in the top left-hand side of the screen then click on “Program Guide”. Locate a show to watch and click on the title of this show.
- To watch the show through the web-browser click on “Watch”. To watch the show through a linked 5041 STB/cable box click on “Watch On TV”. Similarly, click on “Record” to set up recording parameters.
In the top left-hand side of the screen click on the three horizontal bars then click on “Recordings”.
- In the top left-hand side of the screen click on the three horizontal bars then click on “Account”. Click on “Change Password” in blue writing.
- Type in you current password then enter the new password twice – once in the “New Password” field and once in the “Verify New Password” field. Once done, click on “Ok” at the bottom of the pop-up screen.
